Fluorocholine-(18F) is intended for positron emission tomography (PET).
IASOCHOLINE is used for
the purpose of diagnostic imaging methods in oncology, as it allows monitoring functional changes of a pathological nature, changes in organs and tissues in which increased accumulation of choline is observed.
In particular, the following indications have been documented for the PET method with fluorocholine-(18F):
Prostate cancer
Detection of bone metastases of prostate cancer.
Hepatocellular carcinoma
Localization of metastatic lesions of well-differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma
Characteristics of liver nodules and/or determination of the stage of changes in the detection of hepatocellular carcinoma lesions, if the PET method with fludeoxyglucose does not provide
(FDG) sufficient evidence or if surgical treatment or transplantation is planned.
